A century of
quiet hospitality
Set among mature pines on 80 acres just west of Traverse City, Timbers Girl Scout Camp has welcomed visitors since 1924. What began as a modest gathering place for Girl Scout troops has grown into one of northern Michigan's most distinctive lodging destinations — still run with the same grounded, community-first spirit.
Today, the camp offers a range of cabins and group lodging that blend rustic character with modern comfort. Whether you're here for a family reunion, a weekend of hiking, or simply the rare luxury of uninterrupted forest silence, Timbers feels like a place that has always been here and always will be.

Nestled at the end of a private road just west of Traverse City, Timbers sits on 80 acres of protected woodlands. You're a 10-minute drive from downtown shops and restaurants, 20 minutes from Grand Traverse Bay, and completely removed from the noise of the highway.
Directions: From I-75, take Exit 98 toward US-31 N / Traverse City. Head west on US-31 W, then turn south onto Timbers Trail. The camp entrance is on your right after approximately 3 miles.
